Mardi Gras, A.K.A. Fat Tuesday, A.K.A. Shrove Tuesday, A.K.A. Shrovetide, A.K.A. a good excuse to get shitfaced and act crazy, is today! We’re enamored of the holiday’s trademark colors—green, purple and gold—and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to whip up a Mardi Gras fashion statement.
Granted most people at Mardi Gras are probably more concerned with where they’re getting their next Bloody Mary than what they’re wearing. But we haven’t had an adult beverage (yet), so we’re perfectly capable of dreaming about Mardi Gras fashion and bloodies at the same time.
And we’re so glad we did, because there are some seriously amazing (and ultra comfy) styles out there that fit right it with both the color palette and the outsized mood that comes with celebrating the day before Ash Wednesday, when all the fun indulgence will be over—at least that’s the idea.
